This is an attractive and unusual colour form of Iris versicolor, the American Blue Flag Iris, which has blooms that are a richer purple colour, rather than the normal blue. Like all the versicolors, it is an easy iris to grow.
Please note that all irises may cause skin irritation and are somewhat poisonous if eaten.
