'Burgundy Princess' is a relatively new introduction from America and a particularly vibrant red; so bright that when viewed from a distance the flowers almost glow. The blooms are held slightly above the foliage on sturdy stems and make a nice contrast to the green leaves. 'Burgundy Princess' also has much larger flowers in relation to its leaves than some of the older small lily varieties. Altogether a nicely-proportioned, compact, free-flowering lily that deserves more attention.
