This plant has the same flowers as the natural Iris laevigata, but it has wonderful bold green-and-white striped leaves, which retain this coloration all season. Unusually for a variegated plant, it is also probably the easiest Iris laevigata variety to grow. One of the most popular marginal plants and so good it has received the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit (AGM).
If designing a planting scheme, we recommend approximately 1 Iris laevigata 'Variegata' plant per square foot of ground or per linear foot of pond edge. Read more here on how to pot and care for your plant.
