This iris is a variegated form of the British native species, with gorgeous creamy-yellow and green striped leaves in spring. The variegation slowly fades back to green as the typical yellow iris flowers appear in early summer. As you would expect from a variegated plant, it is slightly less vigorous than the wild form, which is useful in the garden as the wild Flag Iris is too vigorous for most people.
The irises we sell are all established plants which have been grown individually in pots.
We recommend starting your Iris pseudacorus 'Variegata' off in a pot of 2 - 4 litres capacity. Read more on how to pot and care for your plant here.
