'David' is a rarely seen variety, which is a shame as it deserves wider recognition. It is a changeable lily: the flowers open an unusual shade of orange-pink, then deepen dramatically over the second and third days. The young leaves are attractively marked with purple speckles, and the plant is among the most free-flowering of all waterlilies.
