'Denver' is a modern waterlily from America. It is technically a yellow variety but the double-petalled blooms are a cream/primrose-yellow colour, depending on the weather (they are more yellow in cool weather and more cream in hot weather). They are held up above the foliage, giving it the exotic look of a tropical waterlily. New leaves are also beautifully marked with purple splashes. Most yellow lilies are large and tend to take over the pond, but Denver is a compact, sturdy variety, easy to grow and flower, and excellent for the smaller pond.
