Sometimes mistakenly spelt 'Froebeli' or Frobeli', this is is a very popular old-fashioned lily which is hardy, adaptable and easy to grow. It produces numerous simple cup-shaped flowers all summer long, of a vivid wine-red/pink colour and set off by almost white sepals. It has a small leaf spread, growing and flowering well even in tubs.
