The smallest by far of all the hardy waterlilies, 'Pygmaea Helvola' produces dainty little primrose-yellow flowers, with very pretty blotched miniature leaves in shades of red and green. Free-flowering and great for a tub garden or small pond. So good it has received the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit (AGM).
