'Vésuve' is a classic red lily which is valued for its long flowering period - starting early in the year and finishing late - and its strong colour. Leaves are a mid-green while the blooms are an intense cerise pink with lighter sepals. The petals have a slightly crinkled appearance and the stamens are a vivid yellow, creating a flowing effect which inspired its name. It is more correctly known as 'La Vésuve' but the first part is commonly dropped.
